We are NB GLOBAL LLC dba Africa for the Culture (“AFTC”) a Texas  Limited Liability Corporation. References to “We”, “us” and “our” in these booking conditions means Africa For The Culture. References to “you” and “your” in these booking conditions means all persons on the booking (including anyone added or substituted at a later date).

These booking conditions along with any other written information we brought to your attention before we confirmed your booking form the basis of your contract with us for the travel arrangements detailed on www.africafortheculture.com and making up your booking. Please read them carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by all of them.

Unless indicated, you must be 18 years old at the time of booking and possess the legal capacity and authority to act and travel as the lead name on the booking. We will only deal with the lead name on the booking in all correspondence.

Special Note: We endeavor to ensure the accuracy of all the information and prices on our website and in our advertising material. However, occasionally changes and errors do arise and we reserve the right to correct them in such circumstances. You must check the current price and all other information relating to the arrangements that you wish to book before your booking is confirmed.

PRICING

All prices are quoted in USD. Price quotes are applicable to the date and time at which they are requested. AFTC is not responsible for any increases due to fuel surcharges, government imposed taxes/fees or supplier-imposed increases. Please note that per our supplier contracts, we cannot offer a breakdown of pricing. 

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

AFTC accepts payment via ACH debit and most major credit or debit cards. In order to reserve your place, a deposit must be paid at the time of booking. The full balance must also be received prior to any date we may specify, which will usually be eight weeks (60 days) to your intended departure date.

Bookings made four weeks or less before departure must be paid for in full at the time of booking. If we do not receive any payment due in full and on time, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you in which case the cancellation charges set out in in our terms and conditions will become payable.

 As a courtesy, AFTC offers payment plans for your convenience.  All payment plans require monthly automated payments debited from your checking account, credit or debit card. At any time you may make an additional payment or pay in full.

​By booking services through AFTC, I acknowledge and accept that there are cancellation policies, change fees and penalties that apply to my travel plans and services as set by travel suppliers. If for any reason my credit card charges are later declined, reversed or AFTC is unable to receive payment for the travel plans and services, I acknowledge that this is a binding contract and AFTC will be entitled to recovery, including reasonable attorneys’ fees in connection with collection.

In the event you miss two monthly payments your trip is subject to cancellation. Cancellation notices will be sent via email. You may reinstate your trip within 7 calendar days of cancellation by paying the full amount past due.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

You have 72 hours from the time of booking to cancel a trip for a full refund. After 72 hours, the trip deposit and all future payments are non-refundable.  We highly recommend you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy that includes trip cancellation coverage within 3 days after booking that includes a “Cancel for Any Reason” option to cover your non-refundable trip. Trip cancellation insurance is the only means of receiving reimbursement for flights and other non-refundable expenses should you cancel your trip for any reason, whether voluntarily or as a result of AFTC’s actions.​

DOCUMENTATION

Travel documentation appropriate for entry to your itinerary destinations, such as passports, visas & inoculation certificates, remain each traveler’s responsibility. It is each traveler’s responsibility to make certain that they have proper immunizations before travel – please see your health provider for advice. We will not be held responsible for any charges, trip interruptions, or cancellations due to incorrect or missing visas and/or immunizations.

Valid passports are required for all international destinations. The passport expiration date must be at least six (6) months following the return date of the planned travel. You must also have 2 blank pages minimum in your passport.

TRAVEL PROTECTION & REQUIRED TRAVEL MEDICAL INSURANCE

AFTC strongly recommends a comprehensive travel insurance policy that provides coverage of your non-refundable coasts for our trip. Many trips and tours, involve non-refundable fees paid months in advance. Travel insurance protects you from losing this investment.

AFTC requires every traveler to have a travel medical insurance policy to ensure you have emergency medical coverage while on a trip. Proof of coverage is required 60 days prior to your trip.

Your policy must include the following coverages at a minimum.

  • Emergency medical insurance abroad for a minimum of $25,000 USD
  • Emergency medical evacuation for a minimum of $100,000 USD
  • Repatriation of your body should you perish

ITINERARY CHANGES

While we make every effort to execute the itineraries provided on the website, itineraries are subject to modification and change due to availability or vendor partner changes.  In the unlikely event that there are major changes to the itinerary, clients are notified as soon as possible and an equivalent substitution will be offered.
 

CHECK-IN & DEPARTURE RESPONSIBILITIES

It is strongly recommended that you check in a minimum of 2 hours prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights and 3 hours prior to scheduled departure for international flights.* It is the traveler’s responsibility to reconfirm flight times at least 24-72 hours prior to scheduled flights. AFTC will not assume responsibility for any air or schedule changes. *Recommended check in times are subject to change without notification.

TRANSFER POLICY

You can transfer your trip to another traveler by notifying us via email.  There is a one-time transfer fee of $200. 
 

ROOMMATE POLICY

We do not automatically pair up single travelers as roommates, however, if you register for a trip as a single and want a roommate, please let us know. We will take note of your request and if someone else inquires about wanting a roommate on the same trip, with each of your permission, we will give each of you the other person’s contact information. If you two decide that you would like to be roommates, just let us know and we will pair you in a room and adjust your account accordingly. In the event you are not paired with a roommate, single supplement rates will apply.

HEALTH & WELLNESS POLICY

All trips will require that you are able to walk at least 5 miles each day on your own. Please consult your physician to confirm your fitness level for travel and participation in planned activities. Africa for the Culture does not provide medical advice. 

PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE

Photography and videography of trip activity is taken throughout AFTC trips and shared with clients post trip. By participating on this trip or at this event you are giving Africa for the Culture; its representatives and employees the right to use photographs, video, and testimony given by you during any AFTC trip, activity or experience.

TRIP CANCELLATION FOR REASONS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

In the rare event that it becomes necessary to cancel the trip for reasons beyond our control, such as terrorism, strikes, acts of governments, weather, etc. we will reschedule the trip. If you are unable to attend the new dates, we will offer refunds in a queue based on the booking date as we fill your spot, but we cannot guarantee a refund. Your travel insurance should cover these circumstances should they occur.

ADDITIONAL DISCLOSURES

AFTC is not the source or supplier of the travel services requested and acts solely as a booking agent for disclosed principal supplier hotels, airlines, ground transportation and other companies providing accommodations, transportations, and/or other services. Each of these suppliers is an independent entity with its own management and is not subject to the control of AFTC.

Additional risks and dangers may arise including, but not limited to, hazards of traveling in undeveloped areas, hazards of travel by boat, train, automobile, aircraft and other means of conveyance, animal interactions, forces of nature, political unrest, other unrest, hazardous local customs and practices, differing levels of sanitation, differing standards of safety, risks associated with water, food, plants, insects and differing animal regulation, accident or illness in areas lacking means of rapid evacuation or medical facilities, and acts of national and local governments and unrest and acts of others against governments. These risks are not an exhaustive list but are examples of many kinds of risks.

You are voluntarily participating in these activities with the knowledge that there are significant dangers involved, and you hereby agree to accept any and all risks. As lawful consideration for the agreement with AFTC to participate in such trips and activities you agree you will not make a claim against AFTC, its related companies or its personnel or sue for bodily injury, emotional trauma, death, property loss or damage or other loss, cost or expense, however caused, as a result of or related to your contracting for, traveling to or from, or in any and every other way participating in the trip. You release AFTC, its related companies and its personnel from any and all claim, known or unknown, arising from contracting for, traveling to or from, and in any and every way participating in a trip. This release of liability and assumption of risk agreement is entered into on behalf of you and all members of your family and party, also including minors accompanying you. This agreement also binds your heirs, legal representatives and assigns.

AFTC shall not be liable for any accidents, injury, baggage losses, delays, expenses, property damage or personal loss to client or to those traveling with Client in connection with any travel services we have booked, including but not limited to acts of God, weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, strikes, epidemics, quarantine, acts of terrorism, breakdown in vehicles or equipment, theft, delay, fuel increases or cancelation or change in intermarry or schedules.
